Most of my projects over the past 25 years or so have involved me in teaching. I have worked in schools and colleges from early years up to degree level as well as with special needs groups, and informerly in community centres and museums with whoever wanted to be involved in that particular project.

I use various techniques to help people develop their own ideas. Clay and plaster casting, papiermache, relief carving and carving in the round are the activities I use most often.

I am currently reorganizing my studio, in Seaham, County Durham, to make space to teach small groups on the premises. These courses will have the advantage of a fully equiped workshop with machines to speed up preparation and finishing, as well as a huge choice of timber. A small library and a gallery will help students to decide what to make for their first sculpture.

Taster sessions and longer more in depth courses, will be provided.
